VII – Drown to Live

I’m happy to announce that the music clip for ‘Drown to Live’ (Chapter VII of the video story) is out now on Youtube.
The song is the key track for the album and the most important for me. At a certain point in my life I learned to love myself, and I learned that self-love is important to be able to love others.
I’d like to thank my guys Robin Friedel (Guitar, Bass) and Florian Jooß (Drums) for the participation.

Finally Ewian learned the most important thing in his life: to love himself, and thus, to love others. Encouraged by this insight, he was carried away by the notion of love as an abstract concept, an unconditional acceptance of things. In order to achieve this, it was necessary to detach himself from his present self awhile.

Ewian grew up to a young man. He tried to cope with the normal world, but the voices in his head were strong. They ripped apart the structure between his inner cosmos and outer world. One day he decided to leave his home to be alone with his memories and voices.

I’m happy, relieved, proud and somehow wistful to announce that my 4th album ‘Of Those Who Drown to Live’ is out from today!
I’ve produced 12 songs and 12 music videos in the last 2 years (nearly an hour of music) – and went to my limit with this piece of art.
I must admit that I have tears in my eyes now – on the one hand because I am happy about this release, on the other hand because I know that this will be the last EWIAN album for a longer while. After four albums and one EP in five years (not to forget a bunch of music videos) I HAVE to slow down.
I hope you understand that. At least you can look forward to 11 music videos in the next 11 months.
I’m pleased about EVERYONE who buys this record – this is my most personal record and it would mean a lot to me.

I’m happy to announce that my new album is coming out on 8th June 🙂

EWIAN – Of Those Who Drown to Live – News

I am happy and proud to hold the 4th EWIAN album ‘Of Those Who Drown to Live‘ in my hands after three years of daily work and mental involvement.
As you know I am also working on a video story together with Dream-Noise Productions – the album is going to be illustrated by 12 music videos which will be published month by month. The first one will be published soon.
At the moment I am preparing the digital and physical release of the album, I expect it for June this year.

I am looking forward to this at least for me most important publication!

Video shooting in Croatia

I’d like to show you a couples of freeze frames from videos we shot last summer with Dream-Noise Productions in Croatia for my 4th album.
We have been at the place where the original Winnetou movie was shot. I am still impressed by this vast, untouched nature.
On one day we got in the near of a forest fire and used the day after to make some super slow motion shots. Here some stills…

Dear subscribers, fans and friends,

I am happy to announce that I am working intensely on the 4th EWIAN album at the moment.
‘Of those who drown to live’ will be special in various ways: it will contain 12 songs (instead of 10 like the other albums) and it is the first time that I am going to create an explicit biographical LP. Furthermore, I will produce a video for EVERY song to illustrate the story behind ‘Of those who drown to live‘ – a story of my life and I guess it will have been a huge project in the end.
I am very excited due to the fact that I will reveal much of my myself with this album. But I think after three music albums I am ready to do that.
