I am really happy and proud to say that the third EWIAN album HEART CRASH BOOM BANG is out from today, 3rd March 2017.
People from the whole world already preordered a physical signed copy via Bandcamp.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who decides to support my work by purchasing the physical or digital version of the album on one of the listed shops.
I was on the road again to continue with my music video shootings. This time I had to go slumming as the protagonist in this story is located in public places where he is talking to persons who are physically not present, but in his mind.
This was a challenge for me – my goal was to catch glimpses from strangers while I was talking to someone invisible.
I was in Frankfurt again to make further video shootings for a new song called ‘VAST’.
I used new equipment to gain a better depth of focus and also worked the first time with 3d sound recordings (Thanks to Stefan Pätz for the special microphones and supervision).´
On Wednesday my video for my song ‘Love’ was shown at an indie film festival (Zum Goldenen Hirsch) in Heidelberg (Germany). I was invited to be there in order to explain the background of the story. The atmosphere of this evening and choice of the other films was really fabulous. The focus was on unique films with essential messages. I am glad that the actor who represented the seamstress in ‘Love’ (her name is Nilanie) was accompanying me.
I founded EWIAN on 6th March 2013 by the release of the debut EP ‘We Will Never Grow Old’. Thus a few days ago this project had it´s third ‘birthday’. Since then I produced 26 songs and 8 videos overall. Maybe it´s arrogant to make a throwback by now as EWIAN is still young, but I just feel like doing that. In the next few weeks I will make a post on Twitter nearly everyday and sometimes here on WordPress with unpublished photos and information.
Before I start, I will go far afield to a time before EWIAN.
My first real band was care[le]ss (south germany). The guy on the left side is Maximilian (our ex-drummer), now member of the great Get Well Soon:
Here some more pictures of the time with care[le]ss:
Member of care[le]ss was also Benjamin Lachance. He contributed to the first EWIAN releases (‘We Will Never Grow Old’, ‘Good Old Underground’). On the last photo you can see him blurred in the background.
