I am very very happy about having been honored with a price at the lovely La.Meko Film Festival last Saturday in Germany together with other wonderful films. I am deeply thankful for that. We also had the chance to perform a couple of EWIAN songs.
The video and song is called ‘Into the Unknown’ and tells the story of a young boy who tries to find an ancient relict in an imagined world in the hope that he can use it to resolve a serious conflict between his mother and father.
I´d like to thank the persons who helped me to realize my music video for the song ‘Into the Unknown’: Nataly Zibert, Kaja Lori und her son Piet, Thorben Kraus, Markus Müller.
The video will also be available on my youtube channel youtube.de/Ewianmusic, but it will take a while for reasons I can´t explain at the moment.
I am pleased to announce that one of my next music videos will be shown at International Short Film Festival LaMeko in Landau, Germany on 9th May 17.
Furthermore, EWIAN will perform a couple of songs at the prize giving ceremony on 13th May 17.
Here some stills of my film:
I always wanted to make a video with flowers – and a calm, tender version of my song ‘Beautiful Lie” seemed to work pretty well for that. For that reason, I made tracking shots in bed of flowers in my home town. There is a light floating through it, the main element, its meaning not yet to be revealed, but soon.
So here is my new video for ‘Beautiful Lie – The Salvation‘:
Here it is, probably our last video for ‘We Need Monsters’, for a song called ‘Love’.
It´s about an indian seamstress who is daydreaming during her work as a kind of cognitive survival strategy.
It took us one year of production to film the different seasons.
What I intended to express with this song is that imagination can save our life. Like it saved the life of this indian girl.
We shot in an abandoned house this summer in a small-town in germany.
We´ve been seven? times up there and at one point I thought it would be a good idea to shoot alone and make some experimental shots. This will be a lesson for me! I underrated the massive heat, passed out and woke up in my own vomit. But don´t worry, the scene is not in the video, I even never saw it for myself because I deleted it instantly.
This video deflects from our former kind of video making, because we focused the first time the band, not the story.
But it definitely has one – which one, is up to your discretion.
